Vasileios Christopoulos, PhD
Education and Career
Vasileios Christopoulos completed his Ph.D in Computer Science & Engineering (with minor in Cognitive Science) at the University of Minnesota in July 2010, with thesis advisor Prof. Apostolos Georgopoulos (Neuroscience department) and Prof. Paul Schrater (Computer Science & Psychology department). He then became a post-doctoral scholar with Prof. Richard Andersen at Caltech. He is studying the neurobiology of decision-making and motor control and exploring circuit dysfunction in neurological and psychiatric disorders. His ultimate goal is to develop reliable clinical diagnosis and treatment for recovery from brain injury and other neurological/psychiatric diseases of the CNS.
