Charles Y. Liu, MD, PhD
Dr. Liu received his undergraduate education in chemical engineering from the College of Engineering, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He then completed his PhD in chemical/bioengineering at Rice University, Houston, TX. He completed his MD at the Yale University School of Medicine before receiving his residency training in neurosurgery at the University of Southern California affiliated hospitals. He is presently appointed as professor of neurological surgery, neurology, and biomedical engineering at the USC Keck School of Medicine and Viterbi School of Engineering. He serves as the Director of the USC Center for Neurorestoration and Surgical Director of the USC Comprehensive Epilepsy Center. In addition, he serves as the Chair of Neurosurgery and Orthopedic Surgery and Associate Chief Medical Officer at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center. He also serves as the principal neurosurgical consultant for the NCAA USC Trojans.
