Spencer Kellis, Ph.D.
Dr. Kellis grew up in Johnstown, PA, and graduated from Westmont Hilltop High School in 1998. He earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University (2006), and his M.S. (2009) and Ph.D. (2012) degrees, also in Electrical Engineering, from the University of Utah with Prof. Richard Brown. He has been at Caltech since early 2012, when he joined Prof. Richard Andersen's lab as a postdoctoral scholar. In late 2016, he was appointed Director of Engineering for the Tianquo & Chrissy Chen Brain-Machine Interface Center, and a Member of the Professional Staff at Caltech. Dr. Kellis also holds an appointment as Research Assistant Professor at Keck School of Medicine of USC and is a member of the Neurorestoration Center of USC.
